If I had one judgment to make when it comes to Planet Fitness it would be that it is so easy to become a member of the gym. I had the chance to go back to my old stomping grounds on Merrill Road in Pittsfield to get the process started to becoming the healthiest version of myself.
It was so easy to make this a reality. You can do the same thing for yourself to get on the road to a healthier you in just a few easy steps.

Show Up
To me, this is the most important piece of all -- showing up. We can talk about becoming healthier, getting in better shape, looking good in the mirror and all of those things, but it's another thing to actually do it.
When you make that decision to show up for day one, you have taken an enormous step. The folks at Planet Fitness understand how pivotal, and sometimes difficult, that decision can be. We work, we have families, we have multiple jobs -- there are many hurdles that can keep us held back. Leap over those hurdles, head to Planet Fitness in Pittsfield and get signed up. You'll be happy that you did.

Have a Conversation With the Knowledgable Staff
Knowledge is power. Chances are that the stories you have as to why you want to get in shape is a story the incredible staff at Planet Fitness have heard before. They will walk you through what your goals are and what you want to do with your membership.
There are options to these memberships. Maybe you just want to use the local facility in Pittsfield. Perhaps you want to have access to every location in the country, tanning, access to massage chairs, free personal training, discounted beverages, bring friends or other things that could help you along your fitness journey. Take a Tour
Touring a gym can be a lot to take in. Again, the staff at Planet Fitness knows that. There are plenty of fitness options available; whether you are looking to boost your cardio, put on some muscle or simply, just become healthier, Planet Fitness has you covered.
There is no judgment, just guidance to help lead you in the right direction. If you have questions, ask them. You will get answers that will make you feel better about making this important decision for yourself.

Signing Up
Now that you have toured the facility and seen all of the amazing things you can do, now it is time to sign up. For as little as $10 a month, you can become a member of Planet Fitness in Pittsfield. If you choose to sign up for the Black Card membership, they will get you started on that too. They will create an account for you, set up your billing so you can be charged on the same day every month, walk you through the contract, which is a month-to-month and can be canceled at any time.
Once you sign the paperwork, you'll take a photo for the key card and you are off to the races.

Get Your Fitness On -- Judgment Free
You are now a member at Planet Fitness. Get started at your pace. If it has been a while since you have been on a fitness regiment, go slow and start loosening up those muscles. I can't stress this enough; Planet Fitness is a gym that does not judge. Everyone has their own goals and their own reasons that they are there. It's not a place to show off your max bench press to the masses, but it is a community of people who all want the same thing -- to be healthy.
