Yes, it's due for release in stores next Tuesday - but I'm sure some enterprising folks got their hands on it a wee bit early...

Well that's great news - it'll be like a karaoke track for Elfman fans

Just to clarify -- this IS a complete isolated score track, right? Not just a feature that plays karaoke versions of all the songs...

I just looked at the beginning to see if I wanted to get it, and as far as I can tell its the ISO without the singing parts or dialogue. It plays while you are watching the movie. sd

Maybe for you but we who lives in Sweden is as always way behind with the DVD releases, we have to wait to April the 12th to get it from our local stores unless you order it through the net ofcourse
Actually it is not unusual that when a film gets it`s DVD premiere in the states we still got to watch it on the big screen

That sounds great.....I wish there'd be more of those. I would KILL for a iso score without the vocals of Menken's HUNCHBACK OF NOTRA DAME.

Got the DVD, and the iso score has no vocals, but I think the volume is slightly variable, though.

There are some slight volume adjustments, but it's actually done extremely gracefully - no glaring drops to my ears. There's about 67 minutes of score and song underscore on the track, and it sounds brilliant.

That's a great idea; this instrumental track will nicely complement the score album. I'm looking forward to receiving this DVD.

Well, there is one during "Victor's Piano Solo". Also, some of the lengty passages underscoring dialogue scenes sound like they've been dialled down somewhat (example: the scene where Victor gets Scraps). Nothing a little sound editing on the computer can't fix, though.
There are a few bits on the album that are not on the isolated score track, most notably the beginning of "Victoria's Escape", and a few seconds have been trimmed from the "Main Title" (unless it's an alternate take) -- but this is the exception rather than the rule, since it's usually the album versions that have been edited down.
There are also a few notable alternates to be found on the album that differ from the film versions. A chunk of "Victoria's Wedding" is replaced in the film by organ music; the version of "The Party Arrives" that appears in the film features "Tara's Theme" from "Gone With The Wind"; and the film-version of "The Finale" is slightly shorter and less developed. In each case, I prefer the album version, but it's always nice to have alternates. The two piano pieces also have slightly different endings in the film.
